Jill Iliffe studied Fine Art and gained an MA in drawing and discovered a love of working with glass whilst working as the head of creative arts in a college. Having explored the art of working in glass with a colleague, Jill wanted to focus on pieces that could be practically used in the home and now specialises in hand cut fused glass for domestic use.

Jill is also a 2D artist working in drawing and painting and has had a number of exhibitions with her portraiture. Jill’s drawing informs her glass pieces, and she aims for precision, skill and simplicity in all of her work.

Jill’s inspirations are mid-century design for the more geometric pieces she produces and for the more organic centrepieces such as the Ice Bowl she is inspired by the simple idea of molten glass, and melting ice, catching the light. All Jill’s pieces are designed to be beautiful and used.
